Welcome to Shenfield
Our Shenfield preschool is a bright, homely pack-away setting where children are welcomed each morning by a genuinely caring team who are happy to see every single child arrive.
With up to 28 places and a team of 9 dedicated staff - children receive attentive, high-quality care in an environment designed to feel safe, cosy and inviting.

We offer funded early education for eligible 18 months 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

Bright & Homely Environment
Staff take care to create cosy spaces where children can relax, sit quietly and enjoy books, alongside vibrant activity areas that spark curiosity and exploration.
Free-Flow Indoor-Outdoor Play
Children choose where they want to play throughout the day, moving freely between the large inclusive playroom and the garden. They relish their outdoor time and have daily access to fresh air and exercise.
Rich Language Development
Staff actively engage children in conversations, introducing new vocabulary naturally throughout activities. Children follow instructions as they “flatten, roll or pinch” dough, building language skills alongside physical development.
Music, Singing & Listening Skills
Children enjoy singing, music and nursery rhymes. Their listening skills flourish — they notice sounds in the environment and excitedly point out aeroplanes in the sky during outdoor play.
Emotional Wellbeing Focus
Staff recognise that happy children learn best. Children register using their name and photograph, then match their emotions with colours — posting how they feel each morning. Staff are quick to notice and respond if a child feels sad.
